Speed Networking

8:30am – 11:00am

Based on the popular speed-dating concept, this event is designed to introduce emerging researchers with experienced scholars to increase their professional networks. Students will have the opportunity to connect with experienced aging researchers and practitioners from a variety of disciplines and will have access to mentorship on career and professional development, and tips to build a successful research career. At this interactive event, scholars will host small groups of students for 5-10 minutes, and then students will rotate. The event will conclude with time for open networking.

Prior to the event, participants will be provided with further information and tips on how to prepare for the networking session!

Come join us on a guided tour of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. Students will participate in a 60 minute guided tour of the museum. Cost of tour is approximately $15 (based on number who attend) and must be paid at the museum prior to entry.

All students and recent graduates are invited to attend an enjoyable night out on the town.  We will meet at the student connection table at 19:30 to travel together to a restaurant (The Pint – 274 Garry St.) for dinner. All attendees are responsible for their own costs.
